A ball mill grinding plant is equipment that damages itself when started in the wrong order. This guide, written for the operators running the automation panel at Şarkikaraağaç, is less about describing the work than about guaranteeing the sequence.
Its twenty two pages follow exactly the flow an operator works through on shift: occupational health and safety preparation and protective equipment, a walkthrough of the automation screen, start-up checks reduced to two items, and starting the system in seven numbered steps.
The second half of the guide covers things not going to plan. The fault section is not generic; it takes on plant-specific scenarios one by one: a power cut, a blocked mill grate, and grinding balls carrying through into the system. Planned maintenance and instrumentation settings sit in their own sections, and a two-page glossary closes it, because an operator on the floor avoiding a question for lack of the term is the most common failure of a document like this.
